Privacy Policy
Rather than use legal jargon we are describing here in easy, simple to understand
terms how we handle your personal information within our apps.
What we do - Recent Apps.
In our newer apps (Escape Planner, Game Timer, SAYC Bidding) we do not collect
any personal information.
We provide an opportunity for feedback via a feedback form that uses a developer
device specific identifier to identify the source of the comments that you make.
Should we wish to respond to you we can create a message using that that same
identifier that the app will pick up and display to you.
In each app we subscribe to an analytics service that gives us usage statistics,
rough location data, details of in-app purchases, app lifecyle events and diagnostic
information for any app crashes. This service uses a different Id for your device to
the one we have access to. It is not possible for us to track you through these
analytics.
Should you contact us for support via email or Facebook we do not collect your
addresses for promotions or external distribution.
What we do - Older Apps.
In our older apps (Barking Dog Monitor & Noise Monitor):
In each of these apps you may optionally enter a contact email address for us to
use to help support your use of the app. This lives in your app and may be
communicated to us as stated below.
During use, each of our apps creates an execution log recording the main events
during the apps use.
In the event of a fatal error (app just vanishes during use) this execution log is
automatically turned into an error log with information about where the error
occurred and its nature. This error log is collected and uploaded to a server on the
next execution of the app. The only way to avoid this upload would be to delete
and re-install the app.
Should you have decided to provide the optional contact email address then the
error log will contain this email address. The error log also contains the name you
have given to your device, eg ‘John’s iPad 5’. There is no other personal
information in the log.
Our app’s also contain a ‘Report a Problem’ button which will ask for a problem
description and then may ask whether you wish to send an email with a screen
capture image showing the problem or if you wish to submit the log file. If you
choose to submit the log file then you will be asked for an optional contact email
address (if you have not already provided it). Following this the app will terminate
creating an error log with the information you provided. You must restart the app
for this log to be uploaded.
Within the app we may collect statistical information as to your use or major
events. There is no personal or device identification information collected during
this process.
Why do we do this.
We believe every user of our apps should contribute to their stability by
automatically submitting error logs upon fatal errors. Getting details of every fatal
error helps us towards the goal of 100% reliability.
What we do not do.
We do not collect anything that identifies you or your device either through the
app or when contacted by you for support.
We can only be responsible for those things that our app does. What the device
and its operating system may do is outside of our control.
